Yasas, I don’t know whether I am asking a right question. Because, my IT knowledge is very basic. Anyway, to get information about analytics as you explain, they need to use some kind of cookies or may be tiny programs, (correct me if I am wrong). Once we access web sites, they try to collect information about us and there will be more and more tracking programs installed in our computers. Some of those programs cannot filter even in so called best anti-virus software. By deleting temporary internet files often, is the only solution that I know. Can you please explain a little bit more?

Dear Rajeewa & Chandima, with regard to your question which is a very good question there are 2 types of analytics that exist. One is on the server side whilst the other is on client (browser side). The server side analytics are based on the information you send when accessing a website. Information such as IP addresses, browser type, URL, OS, country, city, time, etc.. is captured on this.

Analytics such as Google Analytics uses a script in your website called Java script. analytics.js script does not require setting cookies to transmit data to Google Analytics. However, to get additional information you may need to use cookies. However, Google confirms there are no personal information stored or sent. But if you disable cookies on your browser then that kind of information is not collectible. If you worry about third party cookies transmitting your personal information you may disable your cookies. Hope I answered you.
